Refund & Cancellation Policy

storyboard.show is a digital, AI-powered service operated by Charky Labs Pvt. Ltd. This policy explains how cancellations work and our position on refunds.

1. Summary

All sales are final. We do not issue refunds for subscriptions, top-up credits, consumed credits, or completed generation jobs.

You can cancel a subscription at any time and continue to use the service until the end of the current billing period.

The only exceptions are billing errors on our side and refunds we are required to issue by applicable law.

2. Why no refunds

When you submit a generation job we incur immediate, non-recoverable cost with our AI model providers (currently Seedance and Kling). Even when you delete the resulting output, we cannot reclaim that cost.

AI model output is probabilistic. Variation in style, quality, or interpretation between runs is an inherent feature of the technology and is not a defect.

All plan inclusions, model coverage, credit costs, and limits are documented on the pricing page and inside the product before you click Generate, so you can confirm cost before committing credits.

3. Cancellations

You can cancel a paid subscription at any time from account settings.

Cancellation stops future renewals. Access continues until the end of the current paid billing period and is not pro-rated.

Monthly credits do not roll over to the next billing period.

Top-up credits expire 90 days after purchase and are consumed before monthly credits.

4. Exceptions

We will refund a payment in the following narrow cases:

• Duplicate charge — if the same plan or top-up was charged more than once for the same billing cycle, we will refund the duplicate charge.

• Failed provisioning — if a payment succeeded but credits or plan access were not delivered to your account because of an error on our side, and we cannot resolve it by re-provisioning.

• Unauthorized payment — if a charge was made through your Razorpay payment method without your authorization, contact us and your card issuer immediately.

• Where a non-waivable consumer-protection law in your country requires a refund.

5. How to request a review

Open the contact form at /legal/contact within 7 days of the charge, choose category "Refund review", and include: your account email, payment date, amount, currency, the Razorpay payment identifier, and a short description of the issue.

We aim to respond within 3 business days. We may ask for additional information to verify the charge or the account.

Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method through Razorpay and typically take 5–10 business days to appear, depending on your bank.

6. Chargebacks

Please contact us before raising a chargeback with your bank. Most issues can be resolved faster directly. Repeated unjustified chargebacks may result in account suspension.

7. Free trial / free tier

If a free trial or free tier is available, no payment is collected for it and no refund is required when it ends.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Changes apply to purchases made after the new “Last updated” date.
