Terms of Service

1. Operator and contact

storyboard.show is operated by Charky Labs Pvt. Ltd. ("we", "us", "our"), a private limited company incorporated in India with registered office at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India – 641035.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use storyboard.show.

If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms.

We do not knowingly serve users in countries subject to comprehensive sanctions or trade embargoes that prohibit our services.

3. Your account

You are responsible for accurate signup information, the security of your credentials, and all activity under your account.

Notify us promptly through the contact form at /legal/contact (category "Bug report") if you suspect unauthorized access.

We may require email verification, multi-factor authentication, or additional checks before enabling certain features.

4. The service

storyboard.show lets you build flow-graph storyboards, generate video clips with third-party AI models (currently Seedance and Kling), edit clips on a timeline, and export combined videos.

AI generation is probabilistic. Results vary between runs and depend on prompts, references, model availability, and provider behaviour. We do not guarantee any specific output.

We may add, change, or remove features, models, limits, or workflows. Material changes that affect a paid plan will be communicated in-app or by email.

5. Plans, credits, and payments

Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly, in USD or INR depending on your selection at checkout.

Each plan includes a monthly credit allowance used to price generation jobs. Credits do not have a cash value, are not transferable, and (unless a plan explicitly says otherwise) do not roll over.

Top-up credits expire 90 days after purchase and are consumed before monthly credits.

Payments are processed by Razorpay. Razorpay supports cards (including international cards), UPI, and net banking depending on availability.

Indian customers: applicable GST is shown at checkout and is included in the invoice.

Customers outside India: prices are exclusive of any local taxes, duties, or withholding obligations, which are your responsibility.

6. Cancellation and no refunds

You can cancel a paid plan at any time from your account settings. Access continues until the end of the paid billing period and is not pro-rated.

All sales are final. We do not offer refunds for monthly subscriptions, top-up credits, consumed credits, or completed generation jobs, except (a) where required by applicable law, or (b) where a duplicate charge or billing error originated on our side.

7. Your inputs

"Inputs" means the text prompts, reference images, audio, settings, and other content you submit to the service.

You retain ownership of your Inputs. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, transmit, process, and display your Inputs solely to operate, secure, support, and improve the service, including by sending them to AI model providers to fulfil generation requests.

You confirm that you have all rights necessary to submit your Inputs and that they do not violate these Terms or applicable law.

8. Generated output

"Output" means the videos, frames, and other artefacts produced by the service in response to your Inputs.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and the relevant model provider's terms, you own the Output you generate from your account, and you may use it for personal or commercial purposes.

Because AI models are trained on broad data and generate similar results for similar prompts, we cannot guarantee that any Output is unique to you or that it does not resemble third-party content. You are responsible for confirming that Output you publish or distribute does not infringe third-party rights, including intellectual property, publicity, or privacy rights.

Exports from paid subscriptions are watermark-free.

9. Acceptable use

You will not use the service to create, store, or distribute content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, sexually explicit involving minors, hateful, harassing, deceptive, or that infringes the rights of others.

You will not use the service to generate non-consensual sexual imagery, deepfakes intended to deceive or defraud, content impersonating real public figures in misleading contexts, voice or likeness clones without rights, content promoting violence, terrorism, weapons of mass destruction, or self-harm, or content targeting elections or public officials with intent to mislead.

You will not attempt to bypass safety filters, scrape the service, reverse-engineer model providers via the service, resell raw model access, or use the service to build a competing AI video product.

We may remove content, suspend access, or terminate accounts that violate this section, with or without notice depending on severity.

10. Third-party AI providers

The service routes generation jobs to third-party AI providers (currently Seedance and Kling, with others added over time).

Your use of these providers via the service is also subject to their applicable usage policies. Provider availability, pricing, and capability may change at any time without notice from us.

We are not liable for outages, content moderation decisions, or output quality issues that originate with a model provider.

11. Service availability and beta features

We aim for high availability but do not provide a formal SLA on the standard plans. The service is provided on a commercially reasonable best-effort basis.

Features marked as beta, preview, or experimental may be unstable, throttled, or removed at any time, and are excluded from any availability commitment.

12. Privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. By using the service you acknowledge that policy.

13. Intellectual property

The service, including its software, design, brand, and documentation, is owned by us and our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the rights expressly granted in these Terms, no licence to our intellectual property is granted to you.

14. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service and all Output are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability, or that Output will be original or suitable for any specific use.

We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we and our affiliates, officers, employees, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising out of or related to the service or these Terms, even if advised of the possibility.

Our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or related to the service or these Terms in any 12-month period will not exceed the total amount you paid us for the service in that period, or USD 100 (whichever is greater).

Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion or limitation of certain damages; in those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

16. Indemnification

You will defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from third-party claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your Inputs, your Output, your use of the service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

17. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service at any time and delete your account from settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if continued access creates legal, security, payment, or platform integrity risk.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution — will survive.

18. Reporting infringement and unlawful content

If you believe content on the service infringes your copyright or other rights, or is otherwise unlawful, submit a notice through the contact form at /legal/contact (choose category "DMCA / IP takedown") with: (a) your contact details, (b) identification of the rights or law, (c) the URL or sufficient identification of the content, (d) a statement of good-faith belief, and (e) a statement that the information is accurate.

Indian users can also reach our Grievance Officer (named in Section 1) under the Information Technology Rules, 2021. We aim to acknowledge such complaints within 24 hours and to resolve them within 15 days.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, by in-app or email notice. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

20. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India.

Nothing in this section affects any non-waivable rights you may have as a consumer in your country of residence.

21. Miscellaneous

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Refund & Cancellation Policy, and any plan-specific terms, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the service and supersede prior agreements on the same subject.

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of that provision.

You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
